Updated: Democrat Party dissolution cases/ยุบพรรคประชาธิปัตย์
PPT hasn’t comment much on these cases as they have progressed and we haven’t been following the details closely. So the clip posted here as a clickable link is presented simply as a tape doing the rounds on the internet and in Thailand. It is causing considerable discussion as it seems like a conspiracy to save the party, involving the Democrat Party and members of the judicial system. The pictures at the front of the set of tapes implies Privy Councilor Prem Tinsulanonda’s involvement. We point out that the authenticity is subject to further verification as PPT received them via anonymous sources.

ตอนที่ 1 เปรมได้พบและปรึกษาหารือคณะตุลาการรัฐธรรมนูญ เพื่อช่วยประชาธิปัตย์ไม่ให้ถูกยุบ โดยรับปากประธาน ชัช ชลวร หากผ่านวิกฤตินี้ได้ จะเสนอชื่อทูลเกล้าให้เป็นองคมนตรีต่อไป
ตอนที่ 2 วิรัช ร่มเย็น สส. ระนอง ในฐานะตัวแทนฝ่ายกฎหมายพรรคประชาธิปัตย์นัดพบเลขาประธานตุลาการรัฐธรรมนูญ ที่ร้านอาหารแห่งหนึ่ง เพื่อปรึกษาการเตรียมการให้กกต.ที่ให้การเป็นคุณในการอ้างข้อกฎหมาย เพื่อให้พรรคไม่ถูกยุบ ตามการหารือของ เปรม และตุลาการรัฐธรรมนูญที่ได้ปรึกษากันอย่างเคร่งเครียด เนื่องจากข้อเท็จจริงประชาธิปัตย์จนมุม
ตอนที่ 3 ตุลาการปรึกษาหารือเพื่อจะง้างคำให้การของนายอภิชาติในฐานะนายทะเบียนให้ได้ เพื่ออ้างว่ามีอำนาจทำได้และพ่วงข้อกฏหมายตามใบสั่งตุลาการ เกรงนายอภิชาติจะเบี้ยว เลยหาวิธีการ คือจะให้ปากคำ หรือจะทำคำให้การ

Update 2: Here’s the story at The Nation, with the opposition Puea Thai Party referring to the clips and claiming “a Democrat [Party] MP lobbied a person close to a Constitution Court judge to prevent the party being dissolved.”
Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva’s response was to promise to “release details of the case to the public as there were political moves to pressure the court and frame the party.” Abhisit, however, sounds pretty confident that the Democrat Party will indeed get off and saying that even if the party is dissolved, “party executives are not likely to be banned for ten years, just five years.” The claim of an attempt to “frame the court” is followed by claim that the Democrat Party is being framed and a pretty standard regime accusation that contempt of court may be involved. Finally, the Democrat Party claims the clips are “doctored,” which has been a defense they have used previously.
